Main Catch: Smallmouth Bass & Rock Bass

It felt great to finally get the boat out for an evening on the water here in Newaygo!

The fish were definitely active. We hooked plenty of rock bass and a smaller smallmouth—nothing big enough to take photos of, but lots of action to keep the rods busy.

The highlight was landing a solid, decent-sized smallmouth bass. We also had two other good ones bite, but they managed to slip away before we could get them in!

Quick Summary
Key Highlight: 1 solid Smallmouth Bass landed

The Action: Tons of rock bass and smaller catches

Misses: 2 good strikes that got off the hook

Overall Vibe: Great evening to be out on the water in West Michigan
